Tasty Snaps from October 2013

0 · Nov 2, 2013 · 2 Comments

This month was a bit slow on the blog front. I only posted two recipes and I attribute a lot of that to a) traveling or keeping busy every weekend and b) not having enough light to shoot with when I get home at night. I know these are unacceptable excuses and for the month of November I have resolved to  post at least once a week, if not twice. Despite the lack of posts, a lot of fun and interesting things went on in October. Here are my tasty snaps:

1. First, I got to finally try oysters from the Rappahannock Oyster Co! I’ve been hearing about these oysters for a while now and luckily they have an oyster bar located within DC’s Union Market, a great place to go if you are a foodie and want to try several delicious (and often local) things. So with that being said, let me show you some of my tasty snaps from September.

1. I went to the beach for the first week of September for my friend Bettina’s bachelorette party. After a terrible experience at the local winery, we decided to wash away the memory of that horrible time by visiting the Dogfish Head Brewery. It was great fun, and although I wasn’t drinking anything but the small samples (I was the designated driver) I got to check out the food truck parked outside featuring sausages made with Dogfish Head Brew. I had a spicy espresso brat that was made with a touch of their chicory stout topped with Thai mustard.

Tasty Snaps from August 2013

Here are my instagram photos from August… it’s very Korean food heavy.

1. Packing lunch for work doesn’t have to be boring. Look at this little taco salad kit I had for lunch one day! Everything is packed separately for me to toss together for a quick and easy lunch. I think next time I will try to use less plastic baggies to decrease waste.
